If you want, assign a new name to the JDK. Select the Home directory, and click Next. Hope this comment will help you guys who got the same problem. The directory chooser should show Home and MacOS, and Home should have an icon on it indicating it is a Java home directory. Here is what the "AptanaStidio3.ini" looks like after I add the "-vm" argument: The file "AptanaStidio3.ini" located just under the the directory here: /Applications/Aptana Studio 3/AptanaStudio3.app/Contents/MacOS. ![]() I just edit the file "AptanaStidio3.ini" and add the "-vm" argument and it just worked. ![]() I install the package below and found it's the version of Java 1.6.0_65(64-bit), and it's ok alongside with my current JDK1.8, which means the JDK environment of my system is still 1.8. ![]() Install an old version of JDK provided by Apple works for me.
